GENERAL INFORMATION
Interpretation of results should be done only by qualified persons
Avoid unnecessary vibrations of the instrument

stethoscope)

The products should not be placed in a strong magnetic field (except
Erkaphon Aluminum) and used, such as: MRIt.

Storage at room temperature between -10 ° and 40 °C
Relative humidity less than 85%
Do not expose the unit to direct UV irradiation, this is particularly
applicable for rubber parts
5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAINTENANCE
Before each use with direct body contact (patient/examiner), a disin-
fectant cleaning has to be ensured. Do not immerse or autoclave the
stethoscope in liquids. The stethoscope can be cleaned by spray -
or disinfectant wipes:
Spray disinfection: Spray all items with the cleaning agent/disinfec-
tant and leave the agent in for some time, according to the manufactu-
rer's instructions. If necessary, wipe with a dry cotton cloth.
Wipe disinfection: Moisten the stethoscope or a cloth with the clea-
ning agent /disinfectant. Finally wipe the surfaces with slight pressure.

In order to support these cleaning methods use only clean,
soft cotton cloths.
RECOMMENDED CLEANING AGENT
Fugaten Spray (lyso-Spry) Alternatively: Esemfix
®
Foam Cleaner), Promanum pure from Braun, Meliseptol
®
from Braun.
For maintaining the elasticity of the tube and other non-metallic

Each stethoscope is provided with a unique serial number on the chest
piece and should be appropriately registered on our website
www.erka.org under XXL-Guarantee. At our discretion, we shall remove
all defects, which refer to the material or manufacturing defects by repai-
ring or exchanging the device free of charge. Parts that have undergone
wear and tear as well as damages due to improper treatment/handling
are exempted from the warranty. The warranty expires for interventions
that were not performed by authorized service partners, as well as while
using replacement parts that are not from ERKA. With proper care, there
can be a usage far beyond the warranty period.
