Nitrogen Tire Filling System Installation Instructions
Installation Safety Information
•
Failure to observe the following warnings could result in injury.
•
Read and understand this manual before operating this product.
•
Follow all installation instruction, including selection of proper location, as provided in the Installation and
Maintenance manual supplied with the system.
•
This system must be installed in a well ventilated area.
•
Installation in an improperly ventilated area will allow the discharged oxygen enriched gas to build-up. Oxygen
enriched air creates an increased risk of fire.
•
High nitrogen content gas is a suffocation hazard. Improperly ventilated areas will allow the nitrogen content to
increase in the event of a leak in the system.
•
Securely bolt tank unit to the floor prior to use to prevent unit from tipping.
•
Be sure all hoses, accessories and fittings are the correct size, are tightly secured and rated above the maximum
compressed air inlet pressure (PMAX).
•
Ensure an accessible emergency shut off valve has been installed in the nitrogen line and air supply line, and make
others aware of their locations.
•
A crushing hazard exists if the system is not lifted and transported in a safe manner. Use suitable lifting equipment
rated to lift the weight of the system. Lifting eyes are supplied on the tank.
•
Install in a safe location where the system cannot be damaged or punctured by external hazards.
•
This product is not designed for working in explosive environments, including those caused by fumes & dust, or
near flammable materials.
•
Only Service Technicians that are qualified to work on pressurized pneumatic systems should be allowed to install,
maintain or repair this system.
•
Install a properly sized Safety Air Fuse upstream of hose and use an anti-whip device across any hose coupling
without internal shut-off, to prevent hose whipping if a hose fails or coupling disconnects.
•
Only supply Nitrogen Tire Filling System with clean, dry air at or below maximum compressed air inlet pressure
(PMAX). Higher pressure may result in hazardous situations including rupture of tire, tank, hose or other parts of the
system.
•
Install the Nitrogen Tire Filling System on a fixed location. The location must meet the following requirements:
Indoors.
Dry.
Vibration free.
No continuous direct irradiation by sunlight.
Away from heat sources.
Properly ventilated room.
Easy accessibility for operating and service.
Clear of external hazards and / or protected from such hazards.
•
Perform the complete installation procedure again if you move the Nitrogen tire filling system to a new location.
Transport the Nitrogen tire filling system to this location in a safe manner.
•
Make sure that the inlet and outlet tubes are free of dust particles, metal parts and curls, liquids and grease before
you connect the Nitrogen Tire Filling System.
Installation Information
Unpack and Check Equipment
1. Open the packaging.
2. Make sure that all components are delivered.
3. Make sure that the oil content of the compressed air is
below 0.01 mg/m
3
.
4. Make sure that the supplied compressed air is correct:
- If the Nitrogen Tire Filling System is connected to a
house air system, make sure that the compressed air
pressure and quality is always as prescribed. The
capacity must be sufficient.

WARNING
NOTICE
- If the Nitrogen Tire Filling System is connected to a
stand-alone compressor, make sure that the
compressor works properly. Refer to the instructions of
the compressor supplier. Make sure that the after
cooler and the water separator of the compressor
works correctly.
- Make sure that the pressurized air dryer is of proper
