Modes of Operation
Refer to Page 2 and Figure 2 for details on the
following procedures.
Charging the Tank (Vacuum)
NOTE: Check Level Gauge (25). Refer to
the section entitled Emptying the Tank, if
the Level Gauge indicates Full or if oil
being drained into the tank will exceed the
maximum capacity.
1. Open Valve (A) fully by turning counterclockwise.
• This releases any pressure within the Tank through
Muffler (10).
2. Close Ball Valves (D), (E), (F) and (G).
3. Open Ball Valves (B), and (C).
4. Set the air supply to a maximum of 100 psi (7 bar).
• This establishes the best vacuum efficiency.
5. Attach the air supply to Connector (C1).
6. Close Ball Valve (C) once Vacuum Gauge (1)
reaches the red zone (approximately 3 minutes).
7. Disconnect the air supply from Connector (C1).
NOTE: The extractor can be operated
with the air supply connected.
Oil Extraction
NOTE: Check Level Gauge (25). Refer to
the section entitled Emptying the Tank if
the Level Gauge indicates full or if oil
being drained into the Tank will exceed
the maximum capacity.

NOTE: Crankcase oil temperature must be at
least 158° F (70° C) for best efficiency.
1. Remove the vehicle's crankcase dipstick and insert the
largest Wand (39) that will fit in the dipstick tube.
2. Insert Suction Hose Connector (41) into the Wand.
3. Open Ball Valve (E) and close once crankcase is empty.
Gravity Collection
1. Open Valve (A) fully by turning counterclockwise.
• This releases any pressure within the Tank through
Muffler (10).
2. Close Valves (B), (C), (D), and (E).
3. Open Valve (F) and (G).
4. Insert Plugs (23) and (43).
• See Figure 2. Position Tube and Bowl Assembly.
5. Loosen Hand Wheel (56).
6. Raise or lower the Tube and Bowl assembly to the
desired position.
7. Tighten the Hand Wheel.
IMPORTANT: Do not allow the tank to fill
above the highest mark on Level Gauge (25).
An excessive quantity of oil may cause oil dis-
charge at Air Connector (9).
