6. Connection of Reel to Air Source (Water Source) and Power Supply
6.1 Before installing the connection hose of the hose reel, be sure to open and close the hose brake valve repeatedly so as to remove any
foreign matter in the hose.
6.2 After confirming that the reel has been fixed tightly, connect it to the air source (water source, or power supply).
(A) Hose reel: Connect the inlet hose to the air or water source connector.
(B) Wire reel: Plug the power cord into the socket.
6.3 Check for air (water or electric) leakage
(A) Hose reel: Open the air hose brake valve (water valve). If there is air (water) leakage, check the hose connector and other parts again.
(B) Wire reel: Turn on the power switch and check for electric leakage.
6.4 After the reel is installed and confirming that there is no abnormality, loosen the screw on the retaining ball and move the retaining ball to
adjust the length of the hose (wire) that is expected to be exposed outside the outlet of the reel.
6.5 Pay attention to the following safety notes when installing the reel overhead.
(A) Do wear a helmet and a seat belt.
(B) Do not use ordinary ladders but an aerial work lift instead to ensure safety.
(C) No person is allowed to stand under the installation site, as there is the risk that the reel or the installation tools fall accidentally.
6.6 Warning for incorrect installation
(A) If a seal tape is needed for connecting the quick connector to the metal connector on the hose or the movable connector to the brake
valve of the air pipe, please wind in the direction shown below.
(B) If the seal tape is wound in the wrong direction, it will not play the role of sealing but block the pipe.
(C) After the reel is inserted into the beam, be sure to tighten the spring washers, nuts and other accessories.
(D) If you forget to fix the reel, a major accident may occur in case it drops.
