Operation
3.1
Switching ON /OFF
Image D: the appliance has two heating levels, one cooling stage and an off
switch.
Off: (0)
Heating level 1 (one red dot):
Heating level 2 (two red dots):
Cooling down (one blue dot):
• Select one of the two heating levels, if you want to dry or style your hair.
• Select the cooling stage, to retain the shape of the curls.
• In order to switch the appliance on, push the switch 4 into the desired position.
• In order to switch the appliance off, push the switch 4 to position "0".

Styling
NOTE: the hair must never be dripping wet. You will achieve the best results, if
your hair is slightly wet. However, you can also style dry hair. The strands must
not be too thick.
Comb your hair from the roots to the hair tips before starting the curling pro-
cess.
1. Separate a strand of hair.
2. Wind your hair carefully around the round brush starting at the tips and form a
curl.
3. Switch the appliance to heating level 1 or 2.
4. Let the warm air work on the hair strand until the strand is dry.
5. Select the cooling stage, to retain the shape of the curls.
6. Image E: in order to retract the bristles, press the button 3 at the bottom of the
brush. You can pull out the round brush to the side.
When using the 12 mm or the 38 mm round brush for small and large curls,
unwind the hair from the round brush.
7. Proceed accordingly to dry and style the other hair strands.

Cleaning and storage

To ensure perfect functioning and full performance of your Wella CURL Styler
clean the appliance regularly. Generally you should protect the Wella CURL Styler
from dust, dirt and fluff.
DANGER: before cleaning the appliance, always pull out the mains plug. Allow
the appliance to cool down before cleaning it.

Cleaning the appliance
• From time to time, wipe the appliance with a slightly moistened cloth, then rub
dry.
4.2
Cleaning the round brushes
The round brushes are cleaned as required.
1. Detach the round brush from the appliance.
2. Make sure that the bristles of the round brush are not twisted. Retract the bris-
tles of the small and middle-sized round brush to clean the metal barrel.
3. Clean the accessories with warm water and some detergent.
4. Then rinse with clear water and allow to dry completely.

Storage of the appliance

Image F: the appliance is provided with a loop 7, which can be used for hanging
up the appliance.
NOTE: hang up the appliance in such a way that the spacers 9 are touching the
wall; thus you avoid scratches on the appliance.

Disposal
The product contains electronic components and / or batteries. Do
not dispose of the appliance in your household rubbish, instead take
it to a communal collection site for recycling.

Service
Given the present state of the art, components of electrical appliances are subject
to a certain degree of wear over time.
In order to ensure proper functioning and safety of the appliance, a regular check
must be performed in accordance with the country specific legal provisions -
though at least once every 2 years.
