→ Open the steam fl ow only as far as
necessary.
Pouring:
→ Move the slider to the centre of
the lid to
→ safely and quickly pour out the
cooking water.
Health-conscious low-fat frying
Cookware by Silit has an extra-sturdy
steel core and is excellently suited to
fl ash frying at high temperatures.
→ Put a small amount of fat into the
cold cookware and place it on the
hotplate. Heat up at a high setting.
→ When streaks appear in the fat or it
starts to smoke slightly, distribute
evenly around the cookware by
rotating.
→ Then put the unseasoned meat into
the cookware and press it down.
→ Turn down the heat of the hob.
→ Wait until the protein has coagula-
ted and the pores of the meat are
closed. As soon as an appetising
golden brown crust has formed,
the meat comes off of the base by
itself and you can turn it easily.
Tip: Use the correct fat for frying and
ensure it is temperature-resistant.
Cleaning and storing your
cookware
→ Use hot water and a commercial
washing-up liquid to clean your
cookware.
→ Soak off any food residue that is
stuck to the cookware.
→ Do not use abrasive cleaning de-
tergents, steel wool or the abrasive
sides of sponges.
→ To remove stubborn food residue,
boil a little water in the cookware
together with powder cleanser
from Silit.
