Note:
1)Before testing, adjust the sensitivity properly according to specific conditions by rotating the
sensitivity knob. The higher the sensitivity, the longer the test distance is; the test, however, is
more likely to be affected by surrounding electric or electromagnetic fields, and the result may
thereby be wrong. The lower the sensitivity, the shorter the test distance is, and the test is less
likely to be affected by surrounding electric or electromagnetic fields. It is recommended to first
set the sensitivity to the lowest and then step it up according to specific needs till a correct test
result is obtained.
2)It is normal if a "click" and a "beep" sound are heard and the LED indicator flashes red once when
you rotate the power switch / sensitivity knob clockwise.
3)When you move the tester close to an object with static electricity, the tester may beep. When you
move the tester close to an iron block and if there is AC current near the block, the tester may
also beep.
4)Lighting
When you press and hold the lighting button, the LED light will illuminate; when you release it, the
LED light will go off.
Replacing battery:
During test, if you find the beeper beeps but the red LED indicator does not come on, it indicates the
battery is low, and you need to replace the battery. If the tester can not be used after being turned
on, you should also replace the battery first. Before replacing the battery, first turn the power switch
/ sensitivity knob anticlockwise till a "click" sound is heard, which indicates the tester is turned off
(at OFF position) , then press the battery cover and at the same time slid it back to open it, and finally
replace the used battery with two new LR44 button cells ( see Figure 2) . Refit the battery cover.
