INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

SAFETY MEASURES AND REQUIREMENTS
CAUTION!!!
All the operations must be done in conformity
with the safety requirements, in order to avoid
any consequence for your and other people's
security and to allow the best tool work way.
• Check the plug and cord before each use. Service by skilled
personnel if damaged.
• Do not charge batteries of any other type. The charger is
designed for Li-ion batteries with a voltage of 16 V and 20 V
capacities of 2.0A - 4.0A.
Use the battery charger only for original batteries. Do not
use batteries of any other model than the one supplied.
• Do not insert any foreign matter into the battery slot. Make
sure all parts are clean.
• Protect the device from moisture and store in a dry place.
Store in its original box for extended periods of disuse.
• The Li-ion battery for the FAR EB 500/EB 640 battery-
operated riveting tools may be recharged several times, for
a longer life-span and full power yield.
• Store the battery in a safe, dry place.
• If the battery structure is damaged, replace it with a new
one. Do not use if the charger is defective and never insert
defective batteries.
• Do not short-circuit the contacts, which may cause fire and
explosions. Also keep the ventilation slots free of metal or
metal shavings. Be careful to avoid skin contact if the battery
leaks fluid. In the event of:
1) Accidental skin contact, wash the area thoroughly with
soap and water and contact a doctor immediately.
2) Accidental eye contact, rinse eyes with abundant
running water for at least 10 minutes. Contact a doctor
immediately.
• Make sure the outer surfaces of the battery are clean and
dry before inserting it in the battery charger.
• Use only the battery charger provided by FAR S.r.l. to avoid
sparks, overheating or battery fluid leakage.
• Do not dismantle the charger or batteries and keep them away
from children. Nickel-cadmium batteries may be harmful to
the environment and may explode. Do not attempt to open
them. Do not expose to fire or other sources of heat.
• Do not incinerate. Do not litter.
• Dispose of batteries according to current regulations in
your country.
• The user is directly responsible for proper disposal of
batteries.
• Observe the symbols on the charger's rating plate.

OPERATING LOCATION
The charger is designed for use in dry areas. Do not allow the
ventilation slots to be covered or become clogged. If possible,
keep away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. Ambient
temperatures in more than 35 °C may increase charging times
significantly.
AC-LINE CONNECTION
Before connecting the charger, check that the AC supply voltage
and frequency are the same as those indicated on the charger.
The charger is ready for operation when the power cord is
connected to the AC line outlet.
IDENTIFYING THE BATTERY CHARGER
The battery charger has a label bearing the name of the
manufacturer and the model.
Always refer to the label information when requesting technical
service.
