Getting Started

This cookware is ideal for use on gas,
electric, and induction cooktops.
Low to medium heat is recommended.
The metals used in the cookware make
them great heat conductors. If food is
burning, the heat is too high.
If preheating dry cookware to use for
searing, set the cookware over medium
heat for a few minutes. Do not leave
cookware unattended. Test to see if it
is hot enough by dropping some water
on the cookware from your fingertips.
If the droplets bead and roll across the
cookware's surface, it is ready. If the
water sizzles away slowly, it's not hot
enough.
Use the proper-size burner. The
diameter of the cooktop cooking
element should correspond to the
diameter of the cookware. If cooking
on a gas cooktop, the flame should not
extend up the sides of the cookware.

Care Recommendations

CLEANING
When cookware is cool, hand wash cookware in warm, soapy water with a sponge, dishcloth, or
plastic pad after each use. Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads, or harsh detergents.
Dishwasher-safe, but not recommended. High temperatures and harsh detergents can discolor
cookware.
Gold-brown, yellowing, or blue heat tints may result from overheating and/or mineral residue.
To clean, make a paste with water and Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser & Polish. DO NOT USE A
CLEANER THAT CONTAINS CHLORINE BLEACH. Apply the paste with a sponge or cloth to
cookware and let stand for 1 minute. Repeat if necessary. Wash in warm, soapy water with a
sponge, dishcloth, or plastic pad. Rinse and dry.
Although stainless steel is very durable, it is not indestructible. Pitting may result if undissolved
salt is allowed to remain in the bottom of cookware. Do not allow acidic foods or foods that have
been seasoned to remain in cookware for long periods of time. Allow cookware to cool before
washing.
