WARNING: Risk of fire if boiling operation is not super-
vised!
As soon as the water has evaporated completely, the plastic
in the pot will start to melt. If the heat source is not cut off, the
plastic will decompose, giving off smoke, and may cause a
fire.
Never leave the boiling procedure unattended!
Possible alternative: Disinfection with hot steam
®
The INQUA
nebulsier can be disinfected using a steam disinfector
(disinfector for baby milk bottles). To ensure that the hot steam
passes through all the individual components of the nebuliser, the
components must be placed upright in the disinfector. For effective
disinfection, use a disinfector with a runtime of at least 6 minutes.
Regarding disinfection, the duration of the disinfection procedure and
the quantity of water required for this, follow the instructions for use of
the disinfector you are using.
NOTICE:
Microwave disinfectors are not suitable for disinfecting the nebuliser
and individual components thereof (mouthpiece, mask, nasal joining
piece).
CAUTION: Risk of infection due to inadequate
disinfection
Inadequate disinfection may encourage the growth of bacteria
and so increase the risk of infection. Thorough disinfection
has not been completed until the disinfector automatically
switches itself off or the minimum disinfection time specified in
the instructions for use of the disinfector has elapsed. There-
fore, do not switch the device off prematurely. Also make sure
that the disinfector is kept clean and check that it is working
perfectly regularly.
