Correct use
®
Together with the compressor being used, the INQUA
nebuliser
forms an inhalation device for treatment of the upper and lower res-

piratory tracts with nebulised medication. It is suitable for temporary
oral or nasal inhalation. It may be used to inhale all medications that
have been authorised for use in inhalation therapy or prescribed or
recommended by a doctor. Always read the notes (restrictions, fre-
quency of application) in the accompanying information for the medi-
cation to be inhaled, and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have
any questions.
®
The INQUA
nebuliser generates a moist-cool aerosol that cannot be
heated up. It must be used exclusively for inhalation treatment, not in
conjunction with anaesthesia breathing systems or in the breathing
system of respirators. Any application other than the use described
here is considered improper, and therefore dangerous. In all cases
the user is liable for the safe operation of the nebuliser if it is not used
according to the instructions.
®
The INQUA
nebuliser is intended exclusively for use in the home
®
and together with the INQUA
compressor. For reasons of hygiene, it
must only be used by one person.
Note that the connection tubing included with the nebuliser kit must
only be used for the inhalation device. If several tubing systems are
used for different applications at the same time (e.g. infusion and
inhalation), there is a danger that the tubing systems may be con-
fused. In extreme cases, this can even result in death.
The nebuliser is only designed for patients who are able to breathe by
themselves and are conscious. This is the only way to ensure effec-
tive treatment and avoid a choking hazard.
1) Each application lasts less than 1 hour according to the European Medical
Device Directive 93/42/EEC, in this case max. 20 minutes.
