MIG-200FI / MIG-250FI
Note: An additional isolator switch is recommended when using this machine Connection
1. Attach the wire onto the wire spool and feed the wire into the wire feed pipe.
Note: The wire roll should turn clockwise to prevent the wire from sliding or unravelling.
2. Adjust the thickness adjustment dial to the correct wire thickness
3. Connect the earth clamp to the negative terminal and attach to a conductive part of your weld surface.
Note: Ensure that power is disconnected before connecting the earth cable (-) to the machine. Ensure
the earth cable is securely connected.
4. Ground the unit by using the ground connecting screw at the back of the machine and connect to a
grounded metal point free from the weld surface.
5. Connect a gas tank with a CO2 decompression flow meter to rear of the machine via a gas pipe.
6. Plug in and switch on the unit, the screen will display the set current (amps).
7. Adjust welding Voltage using dial (4).
8. Set the wire speed using dial (5) as appropriate to welding requirements.
9. Press the trigger on the torch gun to feed out the wire to the tip.
10. Start your weld. Try to maintain a relatively constant tip-to-work distance and try to avoid touching
the gun tip on the weld surface.
Working Environment
1. The machine should be used in environments where conditions are dry with a max humidity level of
90%.
2. Ideal ambient temperature is between -10 degrees to +40 degrees centigrade.
3. Avoid welding in bright sunshine or wet conditions.
4. Do not use the machine in an environment where there is conductive dust or corrosiveness gas in the
atmosphere.
5. Avoid gas welding in an environment of strong airflow.
