Notes on the transport of children
• Passengers and drivers must always wear bicycle helmets.
• Do not use the trailer with children under 12 months or over 5 years of age
or with an upper body height of 595 mm (23.5").
• Children must be able to hold their head up with the helmet on. Talk to
your pediatrician to ensure that your child's development makes him or
her a suitable passenger in this trailer.
• Do not place more than 5 kg (10 lb) in the storage compartment.
Accessories or packages placed in the trailer may cause it to change
balance and become unstable.
• Always drive more slowly with the trailer than you would without the
trailer.
• You will need an extra stopping distance. Use your brakes early. Take bends
very slowly.
• Do not drive faster than 13 km/h (8 mph) and reduce the speed when
turning to 5 km/h (3 mph).
• Only use the trailer on slippery roads. Do not drive over kerbs, potholes or
off-road.
• Do not attach a child car seat or other seating device to this trailer.
• Do not make any changes to the trailer.
• Children must always wear seat belts and bicycle helmets.
• Instruct children not to swing, bounce, lean out or stretch limbs from the
trailer.
• Install a rear-view mirror on your bicycle so that you can check your
children while riding in the trailer.
• Never leave children unattended in the trailer.
• Apply all brakes when you park the car.
• Always use the flag supplied with the trailer so that others can see the
trailer.
• Children must not assemble, fold or disassemble the trailer.
• Regularly check all fasteners to ensure they are secure.
Note: Do not transport more than two children. If you are only pulling
one child into the trailer, place the child in the middle of the trailer. The
maximum weight capacity for one child is 20 kg (50 lb) and 40 kg (100 lb)
for two children. Exceeding the capacity can cause the trailer to become
unstable.
