8 Set up, installation and connection
Only connect the pumps in accordance with the operating pa-
rameters and conditions described in Chapter 5 Technical
data.
Observe the safety notices (see Chapter Safety).

Before connecting, store the pump at the installation loca-
tion to allow it to reach the room temperature (no conden-
sation may form).
WARNING

Make sure that the installation location is dry and that the
pump is protected against rain, splash, gushing, and drip
water as well as from other contaminants.

Select a secure location (flat surface) for the pump.
à
Protect the pump from dust.
à
Protect the pump from vibration, impact and external dam-
age.
8.1 Connecting the pump
1. Remove the protective plugs from the pneumatic connec-
tions of the pump.
2. Mount suction filter or silencer accessory parts (if
present).
For vacuum operation, connect the hose connector (see Fig.
2/5) to the suction side and the silencer (see Fig. 2/4) or your
system components to the pressure side.
For pressure operation, connect the hose connector to the
pressure side and the silencer or your system components to
the suction side.
