Breaker panels are required to be installed to provide sufficient access
and working space according to the National Electrical Code
Depending on the conditions, a typical installation may require 3 ft to
4 ft (0.914 m to 1.22 m) in front of the panel and 30 in (762 mm) width
to provide sufficient space for panel access. Please consult your local
electrical inspector for all NEC
requirements may include: maximum and minimum breaker height above
the floor, proximity to distribution panel, room size, and room entrance
specifications.
Important Notes
Codes: All wiring must be installed in accordance with all local and national
electrical codes.
Cooling: This equipment is air-cooled. Mount in a place where the vented
cover will not be blocked. Clearance of 12 in (304 mm) is required in front of
the unit.
Environment: Indoor use only.
Mounting Location: Modules will hum slightly and internal relays will click
while in use. Mount in a location where such noise is acceptable. Mount
panel so that line voltage wiring will be at least 6 ft (1.8 m) from audio or
electronic equipment wiring.
Installation
1. Mount the Panel (Figure 2 / Table 2). Use one of the methods below.
Mounting hardware not pro vid ed.
a. Surface Mount - Use keyholes with bolts (1/4 in [M6] recommended).
b. Recess Mount - Use screws at the corners of the panel. Mount panel
flush or less than 1/8 in (3 mm) below the finished wall surface. When
recess mounting in a 2 x 4 stud bay, the drywall must be built out or a
frame must be constructed to accommodate the panel depth.
