Important Notes
Codes:
All wiring must be installed in accordance with all local and national
electrical codes.
Cooling: This equipment is air-cooled. Mount in a place where the vented
cover will not be blocked.
Environment: This equipment is intended for indoor use only; in a 32 °F
to 104 °F (0 °C to 40 °C) setting with a relative humidity less than 90%,
non-condensing.
Mounting Location: DIN Power Modules (DPMs) will hum slightly and internal
relays will click while in use. Only use in a location where such noise
is acceptable.
Can be used with the following Lutron Remote Power Panels:
HWI-PNL-8, HWAP-8D-15-120L3, HWBP-8D-15-120L3,
HWAP-8D-20-120L3, HWBP-8D-20-120L3, HWAP-8D-15-120L4,

Installation
The RPM to DIN retrofit subplate is designed to mount into an existing Lutron
remote power panel to allow for the installation of Lutron DIN rail power
modules. See spec sheet 3691203 for details. RPM and DIN modules have
different product ratings. To ensure a successful panel conversion, ensure
existing RPM loads do not exceed new DIN module ratings. See DIN module
spec sheets for product ratings. Note: Do not modify the main input feed
wiring to prevent voiding the UL certification on the panel.
1. Turn OFF all power sources to the panel
Electric Shock Hazard. May Result in Serious Injury or Death.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, locate and lock supply breaker
WARNING
in the OFF position before wiring to the input terminals or terminal
blocks.
2a. Remove panel front cover, Remote Power Modules (RPMs), and
Module Interface (MI)
Set aside the front cover screws (8-32 x 3/8 in) for later use. Must remove
wiring and screws from all eight RPM positions.
Remove Screws
2b. Remove Ten Volt Module kit (0-10 V panel only)
If upgrading a RPM panel with 0–10 V using the Ten Volt Module kit
(HW-TVMKIT-120), remove all the components from the Ten Volt Module kit.
Leave the low-voltage barrier installed. Skip Step 3 and move to Step 4 next.

3. Remove barrier from panel (skip if panel has Ten Volt Module
kit installed)
If panel has a Ten Volt Module (TVM) kit (HW-TVMKIT-120), go to Step 4 now.
Remove barrier at top of panel and replace with cable tie holder (x2) included
with the DIN retrofit subplate. Reuse screws from barrier.

4. Install ground terminal blocks
Install ground terminal blocks and end stops onto the existing RPM terminal
block DIN rail on the top and bottom of the existing terminal blocks.

5.
Mount subplate on panel
Mount subplate in RPM panel using the included screws (x8) (8-32 x 1/4 in) and
star washers. The subplate must be aligned with the existing screw holes that
were used to mount the RPM modules. See image below for recommended
mounting hole locations. Note: One of the mounting holes is keyed to allow for
easy alignment, see image below.
6. Mount QS wire landing board (QS-WLB)
Mount QS Wire Landing Board (QS-WLB) to bottom of subplate using the
standoff holes on the subplate. To make installation easier, use a screwdriver
to press in each standoff one by one.
