Door panel operation.
To make a call, the visitor should press the button corresponding to the flat he wishes to call. The call will be
heard at the door panel as the button is pushed. At the same time the call will be heard in the flat called.
The panel from which the call is made will enter into communication, the other panels will be disconnected
and change to busy channel.
Pick up the telephone handset to establish audio communication with the door panel. Communication lasts
1'30" or until the handset is replaced.
To allow the visitor acces to the building, press the door-release button while audio communication is in
progress.
Notes:
Communication between distinct elements is not secret, if there is a call in progress between the door panel
and a flat, on picking up any other telephone in the system, we will hear the conversation.
On picking up any telephone in the flat, without a previous call having been made, audio communication
with the panel is not made.
If any telephone in the installation is left off the hook, the other telephones will continue to work, but the
calling time and the communication time will be the same, changing to 1'30". This time is fixed, and is not
interrupted by cutting the communication. The possibility of receiving calls at the unreplaced telephone is
inhibited, except where the flat is equipped with auxiliary calling.
The red LED at the panel indicates:
At an inactive panel, CHANNEL BUSY.
At an active panel, COMMUNICATION.
Configuration of the PE-91 door panel:
Four bridge connections are used to configure the panel. They are at the bottom part of the CMO-90
circuit. Starting from left to right, the settings are the following:
Bridge connection 1
: Take out in all the circuits, except the panel nearest to the telephones.
Bridge connection 2
: For installations with a porter`s exchange. If the connection remains in place the door
panel will be unaware of the porter`s exchange. If the connection is taken out, all the calls will go to the
exchange, if this is active.
Bridge connection 3
: For installations with a porter´s exchange. Take out in the panel whose door-release
can be operated from the porter`s exchange at any time.
Bridge connection 4
: Do not touch.
