REAR BUMPER PROTECTIVE STRIP
Warning
The part "Rear bumper protective strip", ordering No. Škoda KDA 710 001 (for Škoda Fa-
bia (5J), KDA 720 001 (for Škoda Fabia Combi (5J)) is intended only for the professional
fitting by contractual partners of Škoda Auto. The fitting requires the use of special tools
and workshop handbooks; because of that this part must not be sold to final users in a
not-mounted state.

Additional instructions for the rear bumper protective strip fitting
- To ensure high-quality gluing of the rear bumper protective strip ensure that the room wor-
king temperature is 15 - 30 °C during the whole gluing time. Ensure that the parts are not
exposed to direct sunlight.
- Before starting fitting, position (in order to check the precision of the part) the protective
strip into an optimal position on the rear bumper.
- Apply the templates on the rear bumper according to the figure (the applied templates
exactly copy the rear bumper shape). Draw a line by a pencil in order to position the pro-
tective strip.
- Remove the templates.
- Position the protective strip on the bumper and mark its centre on the bumper.
- Remove the cover strips and apply adhesive on the protective strip.
- Glue the protective strip exactly to the places marked on the bumper and press it down
carefully.
- In case that parts of adhesive are squeezed out around the glued protective strip, clean
them immediately with the cleaning agent HHA 381 011.
- Notice. It is not possible to remove and re-fit the glued protective strip, therefore pay
attention to its correct positioning before gluing.
- Do not take the vehicle to a car wash 48 hours after gluing the protective strip.
