Troubleshooting Your Grease Gun
Problem
Grease does not flow
when handle is stroked.
Grease leaks between gun head
and extension or extension
and coupler.
Grease leaks from coupler body
joint or between coupler jaws
and grease fitting.
Warranty
LEGACY MANUFACTURING COMPANY ("LEGACY") warrants that this equipment will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period
of one(1) year from the date of purchase, under normal use. LEGACY'S sole obligation under this warranty is limited to replacing or repairing,
free of charge, any equipment that proves to be defective under normal conditions and use according to the recommendations of LEGACY.
To obtain repair or replacement, the equipment must be shipped to a LEGACY authorized Warranty and Service Center during the warranty period,
transportation charges prepaid, with proof of date of purchase. In the event of repair or replacement, the warranty period shall not be extended
beyond the original warranty period.
Cause(s)
Gun needs to be re-primed
Grease cartridge is still capped
Grease cartridge or barrel is empty
Blocked Grease Coupler
Blocked Grease Extension
Threads need to be sealed
Damaged coupler
Damaged grease fitting
Remedy
See "Re-Priming Your Grease Gun"
• Check to ensure caps have been removed
from both ends of cartridge
• Insert new cartridge or fill barrel
• Prime gun
• Remove coupler and pump grease
• If grease flows without coupler,
clean or replace extension
• Remove extension and pump grease
• If grease flows without extension,
clean or replace extension
Apply thread sealant
Replace coupler
Replace fitting
