Excess Flow Control andLow Heat
The propane r egulator assembly incorporates
anexcess
flowdevice designed to supply t hegrillwithsufficient gas
flowunder n ormal conditions yetcontrol excess gasflow.
Rapid changes inpressure cantrigger t heexcess flow
device providing a lowflameandlowtemperature. If the
tank valveisturned open toallowgasflowwhile a burner
valve isopen, t hesurge o f pressure willcause thedevice
toactivate. The device w ill remain c losed u ntil t he
pressure isequalized. This should o ccur w ithin
5
seconds.
To ensure this does not cause difficulty
in lighting the grill,
follow these instructions:
1. Make sure all burner valves are "OFF".
2. Open the tank valve and wait 5 seconds.
3. Light the burners one at a time following
the lighting
instructions.
Helpful Care and Maintenance
Hints

on "HI" with

down.

open.
