Maintenance
Quick Cable crimpers are factory lubricated with low friction, high temperature, synthetic
lubricant. Additional lubrication may be required for very high usage tools. Simply add two
or three drops of #30 weight oil to each pivot point. Circulate the oil by opening and closing
the tool several times.
Replacement Parts
Dies, springs, snap rings and hardened hex pins are all available, just ask your distributor.

The Quick Cutter and Quick Cutter 500 are designed to cut stranded copper and aluminum
electrical cable. The Quick Cutter can cut cable up to 250MCM (4/0) and the Quick Cutter
500 can cut cable to 500MCM.
1. Keep hands and fingers away from cutter blades.
2. Do not use as a bolt cutter.
3. Do not cut steel wire or wire rope.
4. Do not use on live electrical circuits.
Maintenance
1. Lubrication: Quick Cutters are factory lubricated with low friction, high temperature
synthetic lubricant. Additional lubrication may be required for very high usage tools.
Simply add two or three drops of #30 weight oil to each pivot point. Circulate the oil by
opening and closing the tool several times.
2. Blade Sharpening: Cutter blades can be resharpened. It is recommended that you
remove the pivot bolt before sharpening.
Installation of Bench Mounted Tools
1. Bench mounted tools can be mounted on wood or steel bench tops, strong walls or
studs and other work surfaces, such as inside a service vehicle. The work surface you
select should be able to withstand the forces of crimping and cutting.
2. For safe and convenient operation, position the bench mount tool to allow downward
pressure on the handle without leaning or reaching. If your workbench has an overhang,
mount the tool within the legs of the bench to avoid tilting the bench when operating.
It is best if the bench is heavy and/or bolted to the floor.
3. Your bench mounted tools will serve as a convenient template to mark mounting hole
positions for drilling.
4. Fasten to work surface with 5/16" diameter bolts and nuts. Use flat washers above the
tool and below the bench to distribute working loads.
Wire connectors are UL listed when
applied with UL classified crimp tools.
