Loupe Prescription Service
If your eye prescription changes, you can send your loupe into our optical laboratory to install your
new prescription. When coordinating the return of your loupe, please allow sufficient time for the
installation of your prescription.
Cleaning and Repair Service
Orascoptic offers a loupe cleaning and repair service that is recommended every two years. Optical lab
technicians will clean and disinfect your telescopes and frame and replace worn-out screws, nose pad,
temple tips, side shields, and head strap.
Orascoptic continuously improves its products as a result of customer feedback.
After service, products may reflect improvements in appearance and function.

Cleaning and Disinfecting

Your Universal Flip-up Loupe is a precision optical instrument manufactured from high quality components.
With proper care, it will provide a long and useful life. You must adhere to the following instructions
for proper cleaning and disinfecting, or damage may result.
DO NOT
• Do not spray directly onto the device
• Do not run any part of the device under water or submerge in any liquid or ultrasonic cleaner
• Do not use an autoclave, chemiclave, glutaraldehyde, iodophor, or any other sterilization method
• Do not use a cleaner with alcohol concentration greater than 70%
• Do not use a paper towel to clean the lenses
Cleaning
You may use soap and water to clean all parts of the device. Dampen or spray a soft cloth and then wipe
the device. Squeeze excess fluid out of the cloth or wipe before using. Use a lens cleaning cloth with
lens cleaning solution to remove any streaks from the lenses. One lens cleaning cloth has been provided
with your purchase. Please call one of our Customer Care Specialists or your authorized Orascoptic
distributor to purchase additional lens cleaning cloths.
Disinfecting
You may disinfect the device with a low-alcohol disinfectant. Apply the disinfectant to a soft cloth and
then wipe the device. Squeeze excess fluid out of the cloth or wipe before using. Use a lens cleaning
cloth with lens cleaning solution to remove any streaks from the lenses. One lens cleaning cloth has
been provided with your purchase. Please call one of our Customer Care Specialists or your authorized
Orascoptic distributor to purchase additional lens cleaning cloths.
