Adjust the Flip-up Hinge
Your Universal Flip-up Loupe includes a variety of adjustment options that can be utilized to achieve optimal
comfort and a clear field of view.
Vertical Slide
Fine-tune the declination angle of your telescopes by adjusting the vertical slide depth. Use an optical
screwdriver to slightly loosen the mounting screw. Move the vertical slide up for a shallower angle or down
for a steeper angle, then tighten the mounting screw to lock the new position. The mounting screw also
secures the mounting clip to your frame. While the mounting screw is loosened, use one hand
to keep the mounting clip secured to the frame.

Hinge Joints
Change the declination angle of your telescopes by tilting the flip-up hinge at the lower hinge joint. Once
you have found the ideal declination angle, use an optical screwdriver to tighten the screws at the lower
and upper hinge joints. When properly adjusted, the lower hinge joint should be fully tightened, and the
upper hinge joint should rotate with some resistance when force is applied. It may take several attempts
to find the ideal tightness.

Pupillary Distance Knob
Fine-tune the pupillary distance of your telescopes by rotating the pupillary distance (PD) knob on the
hinge to adjust the distance between telescopes to align with your eyes.
Do not loosen the telescope convergence screws. Your telescopes have been converged

according to your working distance. If these screws become loose, please call one of our
