TROUBLESHOOTING: If the Drum does not start rotating on its own power, turn off the timer switch and
try the following:
a.
Brass and media settling to the bottom can cause the Drum to become unbalanced. Rotate the
Drum by hand for a few complete rotations, then restart the timer.
b.
If the Drum still does not move after following step "a", remove some of the contents of the
Drum to reduce weight, then repeat step "a".
8.
After the time has elapsed, proceed to the POST TUMBLING INSTRUCTIONS below.
POST TUMBLING INSTRUCTIONS
If tumbling WITHOUT Stainless Steel media:
1.
Make sure that the timer is in the off position, and the Drum is not moving. Remove the Drum from the
Roller Base and take it to a sink, bathtub, shower, or to a running water source (garden hose or faucet).
2.
Remove the Cap, Seal and Plug from the Drum, and replace with a Drain Plug and the Cap.
3.
Flip the Drum over (this will cause the dirty solution to begin to drain out of the drum- so make sure that
the Drum is in a bucket, over a drain, or outside where the solution can drain away).
WARNING: CLEANING SOLUTIONS CAN BE CORROSIVE. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES AND
PROTECTIVE GLOVES WHEN YOU HANDLE CLEANING SOLUTIONS.
4.
Flip the Drum back over and fill with clean water. Agitate the Drum and drain again. Repeat as necessary
until the water is clear.
5.
Once the brass is rinsed, remove the Drum from the running water, sink or bucket. Drain as much of the
water as possible from the drum by shaking, rotating, and agitating the Drum.
6.
To keep the "shiny" look of your cleaned brass, submerge cases in a new 40:1 mix of RCBS Brass Cleaning
solution. This applies an anti-tarnish coating after it has air dried.
7.
Proceed to the DRYING INSTRUCTIONS.
If tumbling WITH Stainless Steel Media:
1.
Make sure the timer is switched OFF and the Drum is not rotating. Remove the Drum from the Roller
Base and take the Drum to a sink, bathtub, shower, or to a faucet/garden hose WITH a large bucket or tub.
2.
Remove the Cap, Seal and Plug from the Drum, and replace them with a Drain Insert and the Cap.
3.
Flip the Drum over into the bucket (this will cause the dirty solution and Stainless Steel Media to begin
to drain out of the Drum- so make sure that the Drum is in a bucket, over a drain, or outside where the
solution can drain away)
4.
With the Drum sitting in the bucket, fill the bucket 2/3 full with water.
5.
Shake, rotate and agitate the Drum while it is submerged in water, which will force all of the media out
of the Drum through the sifting insert, and into the bottom of the bucket.
•
Repeatedly flip the Drum to the opposite end and shake, rotate, and agitate, to help flush any
remaining media out of the entire Drum.
6.
After the media has been separated, remove the Drum from the bucket full of water, and drain as much
water as possible from the Drum by shaking, rotating, and agitating the brass.
NOTE: Keep the Drum over the bucket as some Stainless Steel Media may still be in the Drum and will fall
out into the bucket.
TIP: Be careful not to allow any pins to fall down into your drain system.

To keep the "shiny" look of your cleaned brass, submerge cases in a new 40:1 mix of RCBS Brass Cleaning
solution. This applies an anti-tarnish coating after it has air dried.
8.
Proceed to the DRYING INSTRUCTIONS.
