General precautions
-- Audiomedia navigator can be installed only on vehicles with power supply within 12 and 24Vdc
with negative at ground.
--If extraneous objects or liquids should get inside the navigators, stop using it and contact the
shop where you bought it or the nearest Audiomedia authorized dealer
-- If you notice smoke, peculiar smell, or other abnormalities, stop using it and contact the shop
where you bought it or the nearest Audiomedia authorized dealer
--In case of damage don't use the navigator, turn it off and stop using it and contact the shop
where you bought it or the nearest Audiomedia authorized dealer
--After a long period without using it, few minutes can be necessary to detect the current vehicle
position.
-- Don't use for a long time the navigator if the vehicle is stopped, to avoid the discharging of the
car
--Don't take out or replace the SDcard if the navigator is on.
Installation precautions
--The installation of the Audiomedia navigator needs specific technical skills and experience, so we
recommend to entrust a qualified technician to install the navigator on the vehicle.
--Do the installation only with the car is stopped and possibly with the battery disconnected. Ask
your car dealer before disconnecting the battery.
--When the navigator is started for the first time, it is necessary a period from 3 to 20 minutes of
working in open space to get the precise detection of the position.
--Place the GPS antenna so that it can have a wide visibility towards the sky
--In case the reception is impossible inside the car because of the eventual shielding of the car
glasses, the GPS antenna shall be installed outside.
--In case it is impossible to find a proper place where to install the GPS antenna inside the car, it
shall be installed outside the car. The eventual external installation shall not be done where it could
reduce the view of the driver, obstruct the functioning of safety functions or where it could create
danger for the driver or risks for other vehicles in case of accident.
-- Don't place the antenna near mobile phones.
-- Don't place the navigator or the antenna close to the electronic box of the car, because there
could be interferences between each other.
--Before installing the navigator make sure that the place where it will be located is protected by
liquids, dust, and that close to drilling and fixing holes aren't there fuel lines, hydraulic brake,
vacuum lines and electrical wiring.
-- Make sure that the presence of the navigator doesn't prevent the proper working of other vehicle
components, including the opening of the airbags.
