• To recharge the battery proceed as follows:
• Make sure the power supply network tension is the same as reported on the battery charger plate;
• Connect the battery charger with an electric socket being suitable and electrically protected;
• Insert the battery charger plug in the special "C" battery-charger socket placed in the front area at
the lower machine part.
• Lights the pilot lamp, the battery is down.
• Blinks the pilot lamp, the battery is charged.
• To completely recharge the battery, when the latter is totally down, approximately 7 hours are needed.
• Once the charge operation is finished, disconnect the battery charger from the power supply
network and after that from the machine.
The battery life mostly depends upon some basic rules:
• Do not short-circuit the battery;
• Promptly recharge the battery in a due time;
• To recharge only use the battery charger supplied with. In no case, a battery charger different from
the supplied one shall be used;
• Never operate the machine when the battery charger is connected;
• The battery shall be recharged and kept at a temperature between 5 and 40° C;
• In case of a long period of storage/standstill, the battery shall be recharged every four months. A
non-recharge of the battery for a period exceeding four months could cause its irreversible wear with
a consequent, premature battery replacement;
• When the battery cannot be recharged, at all, it shall be replaced through a battery having the same
features and dimensions and at the same time, the polarity of the connections shall be followed; to
dispose of batteries, turn to an authorized point of disposal.
6.3 BATTERY REPLACEMENT AND RECHARGE OUTSIDE OF THE MACHINE
• Following the page 6 instructions, it is possible to extract the battery from the bottom of the
machine and replace it with a new battery.
• For the replacement operations, please follow the numbered steps on page 6 in the correct sequence.
• The machine will be completely empty and switched off before the replacement operation.
• The second battery is optional.
