General safety rules.
For multiple hazards read and understand the safety instructions before installing, operating,
repairing, maintaining, changing accessories on, or working near the air drill. Failure to do
so can result in serious bodily injury.
Only qualified and trained operators should install, adjust or use the air drill.
Do not modify this air drill. Modification can reduce the effectiveness of safety measures
and increase the risks to the operator.
Do not discard the safety instruction; give them to the operator.
Do not use the air drill if it has been damaged.
Tools shall be inspected periodically to verify the ratings and markings required by this part
of ISO11148 are legibly marked on the tool. The user shall contact the manufacturer to
obtain replacement marking labels when necessary.
Projectile hazards.
Disconnect the air drill from the energy source when changing inserted tool or accessories.
Be aware that failure of the work piece, or accessories, or even of the inserted tool itself
can generate high-velocity projectiles.
Always wear impact-resistant eye protection during the operation of air drill. The grade of
protection required should be assessed for each use.
For overhead work, wear a safety helmet.
The risk to others should also be assessed at this time.
Ensure that the work piece is securely fixed.
Never operate a tool unless the inserted tool is retained in the tool with a proper retainer.
To avoid injury, retainer parts shall be replaced when they become worn, cracked or
distorted.
Hold the inserted tool firmly against the work surface before starting the tool.
Entanglement hazards.
Choking, scalping and/or lacerations can occur if loose clothing, personal jewellery,
neckwear, hair or gloves are not kept away from the tool and accessories.
