Troubleshooting

Problem
Air leaking from top of air
nailer or around trigger.

from bottom of air nailer or
between nailer and cylinder
head.
Brad nails driven in too deep. 1. Loose screws.
The air nailer is not
functioning properly or is
not driving in nails properly.
Air nailer skips brad nails.
DThe brad nails get stuck in
the magazine.

Cause
The trigger valve is
damaged.
1. Loose screws.
2. O rings worn or
damaged.
2. Supply air pressure
excessive.
1. Supply pressure too low.
2. Air nailer needs
lubrication.
3. O-rings or gaskets are
damaged or air nailer is
defective.
1. Magazine spring is
defective.
2. Front plate or magazine
defective or dirty.
3. Cylinder ring defective
orneeds lubrication.
4. Air nailer is defective.
1. The wrong brad nails are
being used, or have been
inserted incorrectly.
2. Magazine loose or dirty.
3. Air nailer is defective.
Solution
Have air nailer inspected and
repaired.
1. Tighten screws
2. Have air nailer inspected
and repaired.
1. Tighten the screws.
2. Reduce pressure.
1. Increase pressure.
2. Lubricate air nailer.
3. Have air nailer inspected
and repaired.
1. Replace spring.
2. Clean front plate or
magazine.
3. Lubricate air nailer.
4. Have the air nailer
repaired.
1. Use the correct brad
nails, or insert brad nails
correctly.
2. Fit magazine correctly
and check it is clean.
3. Have air nailer inspected
and repaired.
