Cleaning
As the unit kills insects, most of the insect debris will fall
into the bug collection tray. Some debris will be left on the
grids and over time will reduce the effectiveness of this
device. Make sure to regularly clean the grid to achieve
maximum effectiveness. Regularly check and brush off any
insect debris you may see.
1. Unplug unit and remove it from its hanging position.
2. Using a small brush, gently remove insect debris from
outer casing and inner grid.
3. Compressed air may be used to clean out the unit,
but if doing so be sure to remove the bulb first. (See
instructions in "Changing bulbs" section on page 7.)
4. Never use water to clean your unit as water could damage
the inner electrical components.
5. It is recommended that you empty the bug collection tray
weekly. To do so, firmly grasp the bug collection tray and
turn it a quarter turn clockwise to remove and empty it.
(See below.)
6. Once the unit is clean, replace the bulb and return the
unit to the desired position and connect to power source.
