    FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION FOREWORD ® Porter-Cable Model 552 is a compact, high speed, production Pocket Cutter . It cuts a 3/8" wide pocket and drills a 9/64" pilot hole in one quick, hand-operated, cycle. It accepts materials that are 1/2" to 15/16" thick*, and works well in hardwood, softwood, high pressure plastic laminate, particle board, MDF, and melamine.

  • Página 15 Make sure that the switch is in the "OFF" position. If the switch has moved to the "ON" position, you can return it to the "OFF" position without re-installing the button. TO ADJUST THE WORK CLAMP Adjust the work clamp to securely hold the workpiece in the tool. Variations in thickness of work may require you to re-adjust the clamp.
  • Página 16 TO MAKE A POCKET CUT Determine the desired location of the pocket(s), and mark location(s) on the face side of the workpiece. Do not attempt to cut a workpiece that is smaller than 1/2" thick, or 1-1/2" wide, or 1-1/2" long. A smaller workpiece will not be properly held by the work clamp.
  • Página 17 Release the operating lever. It will return to the neutral position. Open the work clamp and remove the workpiece from tool. Repeat steps 1 through 8 as necessary to complete the desired cuts. 10. Move the switch to the "OFF" position after the last cut is completed. Clean chips and dust from under machine.
  • Página 18 This screw is made of nylon, and is equipped with a jam nut to lock it in place. The end of this screw contacts the inside of the tool cabinet and controls the (left to right) position of the pocket cutting motor. Rotate the adjusting screw COUNTER-CLOCKWISE (by hand) to release the jam nut.

Il coupe une poche de 3/8 po de large et perce un trou de positionnement de 9/64 po en un cycle rapide, réalisé à la main. Il accepte des matériaux de 1/2 à 15/16 po d’épais*, et il travaille bien dans les bois durs, les bois mous, les stratifiés plastiques haute pression, les panneaux d’agglomérés, les MDF et la mélamine.
