IMPORTANT: Drain pan installation is for 18,000 BTU/hr, chassis height 47 inches units only.
STEP 2
Install Drain Plug
The drain pan comes with both left and right-
hand drain connections locations (Figure 3).
Determine which one of the two connections will
be used to drain the condensate. Then, with
the factory supplied drain plug, plug the unused
opening.
See Step 6 for examples of how the drain line
could be run.
NOTE: Pipe sealant/Teflon tape must be
applied to the connection to prevent leaks.
STEP 3
Seal and Set Drain Pan
Prior to placing the drain pan into the
gap in the bottom seal created in Step
1 run a 1/4" bead of sealant the entire
length of the gap in the bottom seal.
The drain pan should be mounted flush
against the 3/4" flange of the plenum
(Figure 4).
NOTE: The secondary overflow lip
(Figure 4) must extend into the plenum
to prevent water leaks.
