IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using an electric appliance, basic precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE VACUUM CLEANER
WARNING
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:
• Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
• Do not leave Power Brush unattended when plugged in. Disconnect hose and
electrical plug at hose handle when not in use and before servicing.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or
near children.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended
attachments.
• Some hoses contain electrical wires. Do not use if damaged, cut, or punctured.
Avoid picking up sharp objects.
• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If Power Brush is not working as it
should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return
it to a service center before using.
• Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull
cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run Power Brush over cord. Keep
cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not use extension cords or outlets with inadequate current carrying capacity.
• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not handle plug or Power Brush with wet hands.
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep
free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow.
• This Power Brush creates suction and contains a revolving brush roll. Keep hair,
loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and
moving parts.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches,
or hot ashes.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, or use
in areas where they may be present.
• Do not use without dust bag or filter(s) in place in Power Unit.
• Belt pulleys can become hot during normal use. To prevent burns, avoid
touching the belt pulley when servicing the drive belt.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Keep your work area well lighted.
• Store your cleaner indoors in a clean,dry area.

1. Deslizar las arandelas y los soportes del cepillo en el

SERVICIO DEL CEPILLO
PARA CAMBIAR EL CEPILLO:
Cambiar los cepillos cuando estén gastados al nivel de las bar-
ras de soporte de la base (fig. 1).
1. Sacar la tapa de la escoba, el conjunto de correa y cepillo.
Ver "Cómo cambiar la correa".
2. Sacar los soportes del cepillo, arandelas, tornillo, cepillo del
extremo y las partes de la rueda dentada del cepillo de los
extremos del conjunto del cepillo.
3. Sacar los cepillos gastados. Si el brazo batidor está astillado
o arañado, cambiarlo (fig. 2).
4. Deslizar en las ranuras el nuevo brazo batidor y los cepillos.
NOTA: Los nuevos cepillos y el nuevo brazo batidor pueden ser
más fáciles de instalar si se sumergen en agua caliente durante
unos minutos. Secarlos bien antes de instalarlos.
5. Volver a montar el conjunto del cepillo. Para alinear los agu-
jeros de los tornillos en la barra corta, rueda dentada y cepil-
lo del extremo, asegurarse de que la parte del cepillo del
extremo del brazo batidor esté alineada con el brazo batidor
de la barra corta del cepillo.
6. Volver a colocar la correa, el conjunto del cepillo, la tapa de
la escoba, la bombilla y la tapa de la bombilla. Ver "Cómo
volver a colocar la correa".
