General safety guidelines

Read instruction manual thoroughly before using or operating this product. Failure to follow warnings and product
instructions could result in damage to property and/or personal injury or death.
•
Inspect product before each use. Check for cracked welds, bent metal and loose, damaged or missing parts.
•
Do not overload this engine leveler beyond its rated capacity.
•
Use on a hard level surface.
•
Never use this engine leveler with an engine hoist having a capacity of less than 1 ton.
•
Never lift a load if any binding prevents equal loading on all supporting chain.
•
Never use leveler to lift, support or transport people
•
Never lift loads over people.
•
Never leave a suspended load unattended.
•
Never allow the chain or link to be used as a ground for welding, or to be touched by a live welding electrode.
Protect load chain from weld spatter or other damaging contaminants.
•
Never attempt to lengthen the load chain or repair damaged chain.
•
Make sure all connections to load are tight and secure.
•
Maintain firm footing when operating leveler.
•
Make sure that the load is free to move and is clear of all obstructions.
•
Take up slack carefully, check load balance, lift a few inches and check load-holding action before continuing.
•
Avoid swinging of load.
•
Make sure that all persons stay clear of the suspended load.
•
Warn personnel of an approaching load.
•
No alterations should be made to this product.
Owner/user responsibility
The owner and/or operator of this product must have a complete and thorough understanding of all warnings and
instructions including inspection and maintenance procedures contained in this manual and on the product labels before
using this product. Anyone involved in the use and/or operation of this device must be careful, competent and qualified
in its safe operation and use.
If the operator is not fluent in English, instructions and warnings must be read to and discussed with the operator in the
operator's native language, ensuring comprehension and understanding.
It is also the responsibility of the owner/operator to study and keep this manual and all product and warning labels intact
and legible for future reference. Replacement labels and manuals are available upon request.
Operating instructions
WARNING!
Use with engine hoist with a capacity of 1 ton or more.
Before each use:
Visual inspection should be made before each use of the engine stand. Check for broken or cracked welds, excessive
rust, damaged, loose or missing parts. Check that the wheels and casters operate smoothly. Also check that the mounting
plate rotation lock works properly before applying the load. Inspect the label, making sure that it is legible and securely
attached to the stand. Any engine stand which appears to be damaged in any way, found to be badly worn, operates
abnormally, or has been subjected to an abnormal load or shock must be removed from service until it can be
repaired by an authorized repair facility.
