IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS:
When using any electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed:
1. Read all instructions before using
2. Before use check that the voltage power corresponds to the one shown on the appliance name plate
3. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before cleaning the appliance
4. Do not let cord hang over edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surface
5. Place the appliance on a flat surface. Do not place on heated surface
6. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquids.
7. Close supervision is necessary when any appliances is used by or near children.
8. Never insert oversized food or metal foil or other utensils into the appliance
9. Do not touch hot surface, use handle only.
10. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions.
11. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a
similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
12. Do not use outdoors
13. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
14. Save these instructions.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons(including children)with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this
appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or
connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
Operation:
1. Connect the plug into rated voltage and the cooking surface begins pre-heating both the red and
green lamps will be illuminated. Once the cooking surface has reached the preset
temperature(usually it will take about 2-3 minutes)the green lamp will be off and this empanada
maker is ready to operate.
2. Place the molded raw empanada onto the bottom of heating plate, close the empanada maker and
lock the handle
3. Open the empanada maker after 5-10 minutes and check whether the toasted empanada is
sufficiently "brown". The cooking time required to obtain crisp brown empanada depends on the
filling and your personal taste.
4. Unplug the empanada maker from the power socket after use.
5. During operation, there might be a small amount of smoke and/or odour that is caused by production
residues and is harmless.
Note: During cooking, the green "Ready To Cook" pilot lamp cycles on and off to maintain the
