15. Sleep timer
If you select the sleep timer function, the device switches off automatically after a
defined period of time.
Press the SLEEP button once, or several times, to set the required time: 120 min-
utes > 90 > 60 > 30 > 15 > 10 > 5 minutes.
SLEEP appears on the display to indicate that the sleep timer is active.
To switch off the sleep timer, press SLEEP until OFF appears
on the display.
16. Radio
If necessary, press the RADIO button to switch to radio mode.
16.1. Tuning the stations
There is a telescopic aerial on the back of the device. Fully extend the aerial and
turn or swivel it for optimum radio reception.
Press the TUNING or button briefly to set a particular frequency. The set-
ting is amended in 0.1 MHz intervals.
Hold down one of the buttons to automatically search for the next station.
16.2. Storing and selecting stations
16.2.1. Storing stations automatically
Hold down the AMS button until the station search starts automatically. All the
stations found by the search are now stored automatically, one after the other.
This can only be performed when the radio is switched on.
Press the TUNING or button to stop storing the stations automatically.
16.2.2. Storing a station manually
Tune in a station that you would like to store.
Press and hold the PRESET/PROGRAM button until the programme position
indicator (e.g. P01) flashes on the display.
While the display is flashing, use the TUNING or buttons to select the de-
sired programme position for this station.
Press the PRESET/PROGRAM button again to store the station; the set fre-
quency is then displayed again.
16.2.3. Selecting stations
Briefly press PRESET/PROGRAM. The programme position (e.g. P01) appears
on the display.
Press the TUNING or buttons to call up the stored radio stations again.
