Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all
its features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If
any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before
attempting to use this tool
Assembly
• Do not connect the pressure washer to the water, or electrical supply
until fully assembled and ready for use
• Remove all packaging materials from the product
Lance
• Connect the Lance (11) to the Trigger Handle (4) by pushing the threaded
end of the lance onto the front end of the trigger handle. Screw the
fittings together until tight
• Connect the free end of the High Pressure Coil Hose (5) to the threaded
fitting on the rear of the trigger handle. Screw the fittings together until
tight
High pressure coil hose
• The High Pressure Coil Hose (5) is mounted on a drum reel. To rewind the
hose, turn the Hose Rewind Handle (12)
NOTE: The Hose Rewind Handle (12) can be collapsed for storage. To
collapse the handle, pull out and fold
High pressure hose
• Remove the protective cap from the High Pressure Outlet (8)
• Position the free end of the High Pressure Hose (6) onto the threaded
fitting, and tighten securely. Be careful not to cross thread the fitting
Inlet hose
• Before fitting your inlet hose to the machine check for any obstructions or
kinks that could restrict the flow of water to the machine
• Check that the gauze filter (located inside the Low Pressure Inlet (7)) is
clear of any blockage
• The water supply must have a flow rate of at least 7l/min
• Attach the inlet hose to the Low Pressure Inlet (7) using the Hose Adaptor
(2). The water supply hose must be at least 12mm internal diameter
Before Use
• Always check that all parts and attachments are secure, and that hoses
are not kinked or obstructed
• Always hold the Lance and Trigger Handle (11+4) with both hands
• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment for the job
that you are to do. Use of this machine requires safety goggles and
waterproof clothing
• Always switch off the power supply, and bleed all residual water pressure
from the machine before attempting to change any accessories
Operating Instructions
Switching on
• Always open water supply tap before switching on
• It is important that all air is bled from the hoses and lance before using
the pressure washer. Squeeze and hold the trigger until water is sprayed
in a steady stream (this may take up to 2 mins)
NOTE: The trigger is fitted with a Lock-Off Button (3). Fully familiarise
yourself with its operation before using the pressure washer
• Connect the pressure washer to the mains power supply, and switch
on using the On/Off Power Switch (10). The machine is automatically
controlled to maintain output pressure. When first switched on, the motor
will operate to build pressure. The motor will then stop, and restart as
required
• The Pressure Gauge (9) indicates the internal water pressure
- If the needle is in the yellow region, the pressure is low
- If the needle is in the green region, the machine is at proper working
pressure
6

- If the needle is in the red region, the machine is near to maximum
pressure, the pump will stop automatically
• If the machine does not pressurise, or operates erratically, check that all
connections are water tight and that the water supply is adequate
• This machine is fitted with an automatic thermal cut-out. If the motor
overheats it will stop. The system will automatically reset if allowed to
cool for a few minutes
Using your pressure washer
• To spray water, squeeze the trigger control on the handle (4)
• Press Safety Button (3) to lock trigger in 'off' position, avoiding accidental
trigger action
• The lance nozzle can be adjusted between a wide fan pattern, and a
strong narrow jet. It is advisable to start with the nozzle turned clockwise
(fan pattern), and experiment with narrower patterns, and different spray
distances, until the correct strength is achieved
• Rotate the pressure control valve just behind the nozzle to adjust
pressure and detergent flow
• If you are unsure of the durability of the surface that is being cleaned,
avoid using the narrow jet setting
• It is recommended to hold the lance at an angle of 45˚ to the surface
being cleaned. This will give maximum control, and most effective
cleaning
• The detergent reservoir is built-in and can be filled by unscrewing the
cap at the rear of the machine
NOTE: Always switch off machine before refilling detergent bottle.
• Always test-clean an inconspicuous area first to check that the cleaning
process or detergent will not damage the surface being cleaned
Switching off
• When you have finished using the machine, always perform the following
steps:
- Switch off the machine and disconnect from the mains power supply
- Turn off the water supply
- Squeeze the trigger and allow all residual water pressure to bleed
- Disconnect the water supply
- Drain all water from the machine and hoses, and store in a dry place
Maintenance
Cleaning
• Keep your machine clean at all times
• Always allow all water to drain from the pump before storing
• Clean nozzle using the Cleaning Pin (1) supplied. If required the nozzle
can also be cleaned by back flushing with clean water from a garden
hose
Storage
• Always store this machine in a dry place that will not fall below 0˚C
Disposal
• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic
equipment, with household waste
• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the proper
way to dispose of tools
