HOW TO CLEAN YOUR DUET
Regular cleaning is important for preventing mold,
mildew, and other bacterial growth in your humidifier.
It also keeps your DUET working its best.
1. Turn off the unit and unplug it.
2. Remove the water tank and pour out any remaining
water.
3. Fill the tank half-full with warm water and 4 tablespoons
of white vinegar. Pour a little of the mixture into the
base.
4. Swish the water-vinegar mixture vigorously in the tank.
Let this sit for 20 minutes.
5. With the water-vinegar mixture in the base, use a soft
cloth to gently scrub the interior surfaces, including the
metal oscillator (located under the plastic door in the
base). Let this sit for 20 minutes.
6. After 20 minutes, empty the tank and base and rinse
both thoroughly with water. Dry everything with a soft
cloth, and reassemble.
When storing your DUET, discard the used demineralization
cartridge and clean the unit using the directions above. Dry the unit
thoroughly, and store it in a temperature-regulated area. Do not
install a new cartridge until you are ready to use your DUET again.
