Slimline In-Use Cover - VERTICAL USE
PACKAGE CONTENTS :

WARNING - Turn off all power to circuit before installing this device. Improper wiring of any electrical device can cause serious injury or death. These wiring
devices should only be installed by an Electrician or other qualified person.
CAUTION - Turn off power before installing. This cover should be installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code, and all applicable local codes and standards.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS NOTE - The cover should be installed on a smooth, flat, non-porous surface. To install on an irregular surface, use a proper
amount of caulking to ensure a watertight seal between the back of the cover and the mounting surface.
Installation Instructions for a GFCI Receptacle:
1. Assemble a GFCI receptacle to an outlet box using instructions
provided by the receptacle manufacturer.
2. Open the Cover and remove the Adaptor.
3. Remove the Duplex Adaptor Plate from behind the Current Tap by
pushing it forward until it snaps out of place.
4. Match the Adaptor grounding pin position to the receptacle.

5. Snap the Adaptor into the back of the Current Tap with firm pressure
until you hear a click.

If mounting to an outdoor surface mounted box, follow
instructions 6 through 9:
6. Remove the four knockout holes in each corner of the cover.
7. Attach the cover to the receptacle and insert the screws into the four
corner knockouts. These should align with holes in the corners of the box.
8. Tighten screws until the cover is sealed against the box.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN SCREWS.
9. For rain protection, be sure to route cords through the cord eixt at the
bottom of the cover and press the cover firmly until it snaps closed.

If mounting to a recessed flush mounted box (device
mount), follow instructions 10 through 13:
10. Remove the two screws supplied with the receptacle that attaches it
to the box.
11. Attach the cover to the receptacle and insert the two screws through
the aligned holes in the cover, receptacle and box.
12. Tighten screws until the cover is sealed against the box.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN SCREWS.
13. For rain protection, be sure to route cords through the cord eixt at the
bottom of the cover and press the cover firmly until it snaps closed.
