3.2 Risk of injury, danger of crushing
If vehicles are not securely fixed, runs the risk of beating a
workbench.
In the vehicle there are rotating parts and furniture that can cause
injury to fingers and arms.
In the case of electric fans there is a risk, with the engine stopped
and the ignition turned off, the fan can enter into operation
unexpectedly.
Security measures:
• Mandatory use of gloves and goggles..
• Keep the vehicle properly immobilized during the test. In the case of an
automatic gearbox, set it to the parking position, set the parking brake or lock the
wheels with shoes (wedges).
• The operator must wear work clothes without loose ribbons or ties.
• Do not put your hands in the area of action of rotating, moving or moving
parts.
• When working on or around electric fans, first allow the engine to cool and
remove the fan motor connector.
• The lines must be arranged at a sufficient distance from all rotating parts.
• Lock the trolley wheels with their brakes.
• Transport and operate exclusively in accordance with the instruction manual.
3.3 Danger of burns
The danger of burns exists when working in a hot engine if it
touches components such as the exhaust manifold, turbocharger,
Lambda probe, etc. or if it arrives too much close to them. These
components can reach temperatures of hundreds of degrees
Celsius.
Depending on the exhaust gas measurement, the exhaust
analyzer probe may also become extremely hot.
