− Never open the unit housing or its attendant components, unless this is explicitly required in the operating instruc-
tions.
− Only use original spare parts and accessories for the unit.
− Never carry out technical modifications to the unit.
− Only have repairs carried out by customer service points authorised by OASE.
− Only operate the unit with the supplied transformer.
− Keep the socket and power plug dry.
− The power pack and the plug connectors of the power cables supplied are not water-tight, but only rain and splash-
proof. Do not route or fit in the water.
− Replace cracked glass immediately.
Set-up and start-up
The unit comes as a ready to operate complete set, including light bulb. When set up above the water level, maintain a
safety distance of at least 50 cm from combustible material. Position the unit such that it does not present a hazard for
anybody. Connect the unit power plug to the socket of the safety transformer. Plug the safety transformer into the
mains socket. Check the unit function.
Attention! The unit becomes very hot during operation.
Possible consequence: Combustible materials in the surrounding area could catch fire.
Protective measure: Do not operate the unit in the vicinity of combustible materials.
Exchanging the bulb
Adhere to the safety instructions! Disconnect the safety transformer! Ensure that no moisture can enter the unit. Re-
move the protection glass (B), check for damage and replace, if necessary, remove the halogen lamp.
Important! Only original bulbs from OASE may be used.
Insert new bulb (do not touch, use a cloth or similar). Reassemble the unit in the reverse order, connect to the power
supply and perform a function check.
Only use 5 Watt halogen lamps. The safety transformer rating is 12 V, 20 VA; a maximum of 4 halogen lamps of 5 W
each can be connected.

Optional accessories

Socket strip SL 4 for the connection of 4 halogen lamps.
Maintenance and cleaning
Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injury.
Protective measures:
− Prior to reaching into the water, disconnect the power supply to all units used in the water.
− Disconnect the power plug prior to carrying out work on the unit.
Cleaning the unit
If necessary, clean the unit with clear water using a soft brush.
− Carry out the work steps as specified under 'Replacing the bulbs'.
− Ensure that no moisture can enter the unit.

Repair
In the event of damage to the cables or the housing, the transformer cannot be repaired and, therefore, has to be
replaced.
Storage
Clean the unit and check for damage. Store at a place inaccessible to children.
Disposal
Do not dispose of this unit with domestic waste! For disposal purposes, please use the return system provided.
Disable the unit beforehand by cutting off the cables.
