CAUTIONS
The tip of this microsurgical instrument can
bend or fracture when overstressed or misused.
Minimize cortical bone thickness with
alternate surgical techniques, such as drilling,
to reduce the force necessary to cut tissue.
Improper use of this microsurgical instrument
on thick spinal or cranial bone can cause
damage or breakage.
Do not twist or pry this microsurgical instrument
while cutting as this can overstress the tip,
leading to possible damage or breakage.
There is a possibility that even with proper
instrument care and attention to surgical
technique, these microsurgical instruments
can malfunction, break, or bend, necessitating
further surgical intervention.
PRECAUTION
Inspect all instruments before each use and
maintain in a clean sharp condition.
Inspection
Inspect instrument before each use. Pay
careful attention to the footplate area and the
crossbar. Visible damage, developing cracks,
bent components, or dullness indicate the
instrument needs repair and must not be used.
