4.5. Troubleshooting Chart

In the case of problems not mentioned or problems that you can not solve, contact our
PECOL Technical Assistance Service.
PROBLEM
The tool will not start or
suddenly stops
The charger does not charge or
does not work
Low performance of the tool
Percussion is not performed
The tool body or battery
becomes too hot
Sparks are seen through the air
intakes

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Worn carbon brushes.
Battery is discharged.
Battery out of temperature range.
Electronic overload protection
triggered.
Switch damaged.
Power cable or extension cord (if
applicable) broken.
Charger did not stabilise.
Battery outside the allowed
temperature range 5°C to 40°C
(Red light flashing).
Faulty battery (green and red
lights flashing).
Charger broken (lights do not
light up).
Thermal protection of the
activated battery
The internal and pneumatic
system lubrication are deficient.
The machine is too cold.
Machine in overload.
Lack of ventilation.
Bearings damaged.
Normal movement of the carbon
brushes with the induced.

SOLUTION
Refer to PECOL Technical Assistance
Service to replace the brushes.
Check level, if the level light indicates
only red, recharge the battery by
carefully following the instructions
on page 56 to 58. Do not insist on use
until it is recharged.
Wait for the battery temperature to
normalise.
Switch off the machine by the trigger,
correct working conditions and switch
on again. Avoid constant protection
activation.
Refer to PECOL Technical Assistance
Service.
If the power cable of the charger is
damaged, it must be replaced. If it is a
defective extension, replace it.
Wait for 2 or 3 minutes. If it persists,
remove the battery, unplug the
charger, check the cleaning and
tightening of the contacts, and try
again. If it still persists, call PECOL
Technical Assistance Service.

Wait for the battery temperature to
normalise.
Refer to PECOL Technical Assistance
Service.
Set the drill hammer to idle until
sufficient heating is achieved and
percussion returns.
Decrease working pressure. Turn
on the machine in dry run for 2 to 3
minutes to cool the engine. Or stop
and wait for the battery to cool down.
Unclog the air passages.
Refer to PECOL Technical Assistance
Service for replacement.
The presence of small sparks in the
brush area is normal and should
only be referred to the Technical
Assistance Service if large.
