External Speaker/Microphone

If you should use an external microphone or headset:
•
Program the radio to VOX operation before connecting the headset to
the radio.
•
Insert the headset plug(s) into the SPK/MIC jacks.
•
If you should have a headset with VOX switch, select VOX position
•
we recommend to use only ALAN / Albrecht microphones or headsets.
Note: If such a headset previously used as VOX headset should remain
plugged in after disabling VOX, it must be switched back to normal PTT-
operation, too. A headset which is suitable only for VOX, must be unplugged
before the radio is reset to normal PTT operation. It is not allowed to let VOX-
only headsets connected during PTT operation, because the transmitter can
continuously stay on in that case!
