Channel selection

Your PMR 446 radio has 8 channels available. To change channels:
•
With the radio on, press MODE until the current channel selection
flashes.
•
Use

Press MENU or the PTT button to save the new channel and exit the
menus.

CTCSS selection

Your radio has 38 CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System) codes
available. These are selectable sub codes allowing some more privacy on a
channel by creating a „closed user group" among you and your partner
stations. The selected CTCSS code may be different for each channel.
To select a CTCSS code for the current channel:
•
With the desired channel selected, repeatedly press MODE ( 2 x) until the
current CTCSS code number flashes.

Press MENU or the PTT button to save the new CTCSS code and exit the
menus.
Note: Selecting a CTCSS code oF will disable the CTCSS feature. To
communicate between two Tectalk Office radios, both the channel and CTCSS
code selections must be the same. To communicate with other models and
brands of radios the actual radio frequency and CTCSS frequency must be
matched. The frequency charts at the end of this manual are included to help
with this selection. In general, most PMR446 radios use the same 8 channels
and many brands allow CTCSS subcode operation with the same standard
CTCSS code numbers 01 –38.

Call Tone

Your PMR radio has 5 different call tones available. To select the call tone:
