Introduction
1.1. Description of the product
Intended and unintended use
The SHS-53000 heating controller is a programmable
heating controller. The heating controller is intended
for controlling a single radiator. Any other use than
the intended use described above is considered as
unintended use. Smartwares shall not be held liable for
any damage caused by unintended, incorrect or unwise
use.
1.2. Environmental influences
Use the heating controllers only indoors and do not
install it in a magnetic field. This can cause damage to the
internal components.
1.3. Used symbols

damage to the product, if the user does not perform
the procedures carefully.

Precautions and safety instructions
Warning!

• Do not install the product outdoors, or in places
where it may get wet.
• It is not permitted to open the product yourself or
to have it opened, neither is it permitted to repair
the product yourself or to have it repaired. In that
case warranties will expire.
• Only use original accessories from the
manufacturer.
• Keep the product out of reach of children.
• Use a dry, clean cloth to clean the product.
• Do not use abrasives, corrosive detergents, agents
containing bleach or solvents to clean the product.

• Install the product as indicated in this manual. In
case of doubt, consult an authorized mechanic and
always observe the local installation regulations.
• When resetting to factory settings, all settings will
be replaced. This means that you will lose your
manually set programs and pre-sets. You cannot
retrieve these.
• The packaging materials may not be disposed of as
unsorted municipal waste, but must be collected
separately.

2. Insert 2 AA batteries (not included).
Pay attention to the "+" and "-" polarity!
3. Replace the battery cover on the product.
