To access the battery compartment, remove the belt clip and back
cover.
1.1 Removing the belt clip
Pull the lever of the belt clip outwards, simultaneously pushing the
clip up as shown in Fig. 1
1.2 Removing the back cover
a. Turn the lock hook on the bottom of TRIBE, pulling it outwards as
shown in Fig. 2
b. Take the back cover off, lifting it from the bottom up Fig. 3
c. Put the battery in as shown in Fig. 3
d. Replace the back cover, first inserting the top and then the
bottom part, Fig. 3
e. Close the lock hook, turning it upwards, Fig. 2
1.3 Fitting the belt clip
a. Slide the clip guides into place on TRIBE as shown in Fig. 1
b. When you hear a click you know the clip is locked; try sliding the
clip upwards to test it.
1.4 Charging the battery
a. Connect the battery charger (supplied in the kit) to a 110-220V
current socket.
b. Open the rubber cover covering the socket on the bottom of
TRIBE, Fig. 4
c. Insert the battery charger's mini usb pin into the TRIBE socket,

The mini USB pin should slot into the socket easily; if it does not,
check correct insertion direction.
You can charge the battery with TRIBE on or off but it is better to turn
it off before charging.
Once the battery charger is connected the charging icon shows
the sequential scrolling of the notches inside it, indicating that the
battery is being charged.
If TRIBE is off, when charging is complete the battery icon
disappears from the display.
If TRIBE is on, the battery icon will continue showing the sequential
scrolling of the notches even when it is completely charged. The
