Determine which hole in the Tab Catch aligns with either of the two holes in the
Bottom Clip. Make any adjustments away from the boat, stopping at the first alignment.
Attach the Bottom Clip with the ½" Phillips-head bolt (bolt down) and small lock nut. Most
applications require removing the trim tab/anode again to attach the Tab Catch to the
Bottom Clip.
Tighten the 4 red grips (COUNTER-CLOCKWISE) using a Phillips-head screwdriver.
Tighten until the red grips are snug. The grips will tilt outward when tight enough.

On the underside of the Top Clip:

Insert the 1" hex bolts at the front of the clip (toward the boat) and the 1¼" hex bolts
to the rear.
The widest set of four hex holes are for the SE Sport 300 Hydrofoil
The narrowest set of four hex holes are for the SE Sport 200 Hydrofoil.
Remove the 3M wax paper liner from the two tape pads, being careful not to remove

the adhesive.

Line up the holes in the tape pads to match the perimeter holes. Attach to Top Clip
underside.

Remove the plastic liner from the tape pads.
On the topside of the Top Clip:
Remove the four assembly bolts from the SE Sport Hydrofoil package.

● ● ● ● ●
In the four perimeter holes closest to the edge your cavitation plate insert the bolts.
Note: You may use the 1" bolts on one side of the clip and the 1¼" bolts on the other
side to help with joining the top and bottom clip.

Slide the four white nylon sleeves over the bolts so they adhere to the tape pads.
These will protect the edge of your cavitation plate from wear.
Position the Top Clip by guiding the assembly bolts through the Bottom Clip.
Note: One of the bolts may need to be started at an angle.

To tighten the perimeter bolts, use the steel washers and lock nuts from either the
Sport Clip package or the SE Sport Hydrofoil package.
Depending on the thickness and design of your cavitation plate, complete closure of

the Top and Bottom Clip is not required or recommended on some models. Do not
overcompress.
SE Sport 300 only: Before placing the Hydrofoil on the Sport Clip, place the rubber
washers from the SE Sport Hydrofoil package onto the hex bolts, thin washers forward
and thick washers rear.
Do not use the rubber washers for the 200 model.
Some sterndrives may have obstructions which interfere with mounting the SE Sport
Hydrofoil. For example, the Mercury Alpha I requires some finesse in pushing the
hydrofoil over the protruding forward bolts and under the auxiliary plate on the outdrive.
The resulting scratches on the bottom of the hydrofoil will not affect the performance or
warranty.
Use the remaining stainless washers and nuts to secure the hydrofoil.
Tighten to snug. Do not overtighten. Do not use a power socket.
