PLACING IN OPERATION

Application:
This tool is used for the removal of corrosion and coatings, and for producing a rough surface profile (anchor profile)
using a specially developed Bristle Blaster
1. Interrupt supply of power and then fasten Bristle Blaster
23 mm belt correctly to the tool using the related Adapter Sys-
tem (pay attention to direction of travel) and the related serrat-
ed lock washer and screw. See Fig. 1 and Fig. 2
2. For Bristle Blaster
®
"stainless steel" Accelerator Bar.
3. Before you plug the tool into a socket, you must check that it
is possible to actuate the switch correctly and that the switch
returns to the "OFF" position when you press on the rear part
of the switch. To start the tool, you must release the rear part of
the switch and push it forward. You must then release the front
part of the switch so that it engages. To stop the tool, you must
press the rear part of the switch. The switch then jumps to the
"OFF" position. Prior to plugging into a socket, always ensure
the switch is not in the "ON" position.
4. Hold tool by the tool body and the vertical handle at the same
time.
5. To obtain the best performance, it is to be ensured the accel-
erator bar is guided close to the surface to be machined. If the
accelerator bar is too far from the surface, the performance will
drop significantly. See Fig. 3. For a more detailed description
of the function of the Bristle Blaster
or www.monti.de
6. Only work using minimum contact pressure. Excessive contact
pressure will limit the performance.
7. In all circumstances, prevent the entry of water into the tool.
