ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
ADULT ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.
USE CARE WHEN UNPACKING AS COMPONENTS TO
BE ASSEMBLED MAY POSE A SMALL PARTS/SHARP
EDGE HAZARD.
BATTERY ALREADY INSTALLED IN VEHICLE.
ASSEMBLY
1 • Turn the vehicle upside-down and insert the
two pins of the forecarriage into the two holes
without pressing.
2 • Check the forecarriage to be sure it is oriented
as shown in the figure and then press
completely until it is engaged.
3 • nsert the steering rod holding out the end as
shown in the figure (see detail in figure #4).

5 • Mount the roll-bar on the electronic unit by
slipping the hollow part of it onto one of the
teeth on the unit. Push the roll-bar all the way
in, and slip the second tooth into it (see Fig. A).
6 • Place the newly assembled unit in the dash by
slipping it onto the steering column, as shown
in the figure. Insert the 2 ends into the special
openings.
7 • Turn the unit and hook the two front teeth and
the side tooth (see figure).
8 • Join the two parts of the steering wheel.
9 • Insert the steering wheel on the steering rod
aligning the corresponding holes.
10 • Fix the steering wheel with the screw and nut
provided. NOTE: The nut fits into the hexagonal
hole, the screw into the round hole.
11 • Unscrew the battery compartment located on
top of the electronic unit.
12 • Insert two 1.5 Volt AA batteries (not supplied
with the vehicle) into the compartment, taking
care to position the positive and negative poles
correctly. Close the battery compartment cover
and screw into place.
13 • Insert an iron washer on the pin of the
forecarriage, as shown in the figure.
14 • Insert one of the two front wheels: make sure
you use the wheel shown in Figure A.
15 • Insert a self-locking washer on the provided
tool (shown in the figure). Caution: The tabs of
the self-locking washer must face the inside of
the tool (see small picture A). NOTE: the bag
contains 8 self-locking washers. Keep 4 of them
apart as spare washers.
16 • Fasten the wheel as shown in the figure,
pushing the self-locking washer down
completely.
17 • Snap on the stud cover. Perform the same
operations as the ones in Figure 13 for the
other front wheel.
18 • Insert a self-locking washer on the provided
tool (shown in the figure). Caution: The tabs of
the self-locking washer must face the inside of
the tool (see small picture A).
19 • Remove the grey protective caps at the ends of
the rear axle. Insert the axle on the tool as
shown in the figure.
20 • Insert the axle into one of the two rear wheels:
make sure you use the wheel shown in Figure
A.
21 • Insert the axle with the wheel into the hole of
the gearmotor, pressing to be sure it exits from
the opposite side of the vehicle.
22 • Turn the wheel slightly to match up the
gearmotor pentagon with the one on the
wheel (Figure A shows incorrect fastening of
the wheel).
23 • Insert the bushing as shown in the figure,
working from the other side of the shaft until it
is hooked to the body.
24 • Insert an iron washer as shown in the figure.
25 • Reposition the tool (used previously to insert
the self-locking washer - see Figure 19) on the
axle from the wheel side. Place the vehicle on
one side, keeping the wheel underneath. Make
sure the tool cannot shift.
26 • Insert a self-locking washer on the provided
tool (shown in the figure). Caution: The tabs of
the self-locking washer must face the inside of
the tool (see small picture A). Fasten the wheel
as shown in the figure, pushing the self-locking
washer down completely. Snap on the
remaining stud covers on both sides.
27 • Insert the partition (which is located under the
bonnet) in the rear part of the vehicle: make
sure you hook it at the points indicated with
the three small arrows.
28 • Before fitting the seat, check that the engine
wires are correctly connected.
29 • To fit the seat, insert the two rear fasteners
bodywork hole sup to the first notch (see the
round inset).
30 • To complete the fitting, push down to let the
pin below the seat click into the second hole
(shown with the arrow). Attention: the seat is
designed to be mounted in two different
positions, depending on the child's height. If
the seat is too far forward, before completing
the other assembly operations shift the seat to
the second position, as shown in Figures 37 and
38.
31 • Insert the container (which is located under the
bonnet) behind the seat.
32 • Fasten the container with the supplied screw.
33 • To fit the hood, insert the front tabs in the
bodywork holes first. Turn the hood and hook it
to the body, pressing down.
34 • Finish fastening by tightening the two supplied
screws at the points indicated in the figure.
35 • Press the antenna into one of the two holes on
the hood.
36 • Press the cap into the other hole on the hood,
using a tool if necessary.
37 • If you need to shift the seat to the second
position, proceed as follows. Push the seat
toward the outside to release it from the stop
below. Perform the same operation on the
other side.
38 • Raise the front part of the seat and push it back
until the second notch is hooked (see round
inset). Finish fastening, starting with the first
hole on the front part of the seat (on both
sides).
39 • Insert the two footboard tabs into the
mudguard slots. CAUTION: The vehicle has two
different footboards. Be sure that you insert
the footboard with the S on the left and that
with the D on the right.
40 • Turn down to fix the footboard (1) and push
the two points indicated by the arrows (2).
41 • Fit the footboard stands pushing in the arrow
direction.
42 • Snap the license plate to the rear of the vehicle.
43 • Snap the license plate light to the rear of the
vehicle.
44 • To fit the rear headlights, insert the upper tab
into the holes and turn the headlight as shown
by the arrow. The correct position of the lights
is shown in detail A. Push to complete the
fitting.
45 • Before fitting the headlights, stick decals # 4s
and 4d to the front bumper aligning them to
the four holes (see A). Fit the lights as shown in
the figure.
46 • Fit the front grill to the three tabs into the
bodywork. Turn as shown by the arrow.
47 • Push to complete the fitting.
48 • Press on the filler cap to fix it.
49 • Unscrew the battery compartment cover.
50 • Press the tab as show in the figure. Release and
open up the cover.
51 • Connect the two plugs. The vehicle is ready to
use.
VEHICLE FEATURES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR
USE
52 • ELECTRONIC UNIT: Turn the key to start the
electronic unit. To sound the horn, press the top
button on the dash. To turn on the flashing
lights, press the bottom button on the dash.
To avoid draining the battery, we recommend
turning the key counter-clockwise when the vehicle
is not in use.
53 • ACCELERATOR/ELECTRIC BRAKE PEDAL: The
vehicle brakes automatically when your child
lift his/her foot off the pedal.
54 • GEAR SHIFT LEVERS: forward speed. R: reverse.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
55 • Unscrew and open up the battery
compartment. Disconnect the terminals
pressing on the sides. Remove the battery
fastener.
56 • Remove and replace the battery. Insert the
battery charger back in place, connect the two
terminals and tighten the safety screw.
BATTERY RECHARGE
WARNING: BATTERY CHARGING AND EVERY OTHER
OPERATION ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM MUST BE
CARRIED OUT BY ADULTS ONLY.
THE BATTERY CAN ALSO BE CHARGED WITHOUT
REMOVING IT FROM THE TOY.
57 • Disconnect the electrical system terminal A
from the battery terminal B pressing with the
fingers on the sides.
58 • Plug the battery charger terminal to a wall
outlet following the instructions provided.
Connect the terminal B and the battery charger
terminal C.
Once the battery has been recharged, unplug
the battery charger from the wall outlet, then
disconnect terminals C and B.
59 • Connect terminal B and A till you hear the final
click. Once recharging is complete, don't forget
to close the door on the battery compartment.
BATTERY MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY
Before riding, charge your batteries for 18 hours to
initiate them. Failure to do this will result in
permanent battery damage.
CAUTION
Only adults should recharge batteries,never
children.
Never allow children to handle batteries.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
CHARGE BATTERY
• Charge the batteries no longer than 24 hours,
following the instructions enclosed with the
battery charger.
• Charge the battery, as the vehicle shows low
power, in this way you will avoid damage to the
battery.
• If you don't use your vehicle for a long period of
time unplug the battery from the main wire
harness of the vehicle. Remember to charge the
battery at least every three months.
• Never charge the battery upside down.
• Do not forget batteries during charging! Check
them periodically.
• Never use a replacement recharger or batteries
unless they are approved by PEG PEREGO.
• Batteries are sealed and maintenance free.
• Battery polarity must be observed when
connecting battery to wiring.
WARNING
• BATTERIES CONTAIN TOXIC AND CORROSIVE
SUBSTANCES. DO NOT TAMPER WITH THEM.
• Batteries contain an acid-based electrolyte.
• Do not make direct contact between battery
terminals, as this can cause an explosion or fire.
