• The drip stop valve (11) function allows you
to remove carafe (7) while brewing to serve
a cup of coffee. Note: replace carafe (7) back
on the warming plate within 30 seconds.
• Use the cord storage on the bottom of the cof-
feemaker for easy storage and if the appliance
is not in use for a long time.
ClEANING
• Proper maintenance will ensure years of
service of your appliance. Clean the appliance
after every use. This appliance contains no
user serviceable parts and requires little main-
tenance. Leave servicing repairs or repairs to
qualified personnel.
WARNING: Unplug the appliance and allow
to cool before cleaning.
CAUTION!
• Do not immerse the coffeemaker, the power
cord, and the plug into water or any liquids.
• Clean the housing and warming plate (12)
with a clean, damp cloth.
• Do not use abrasive pads or alcohol.
• Remove the carafe (7), paper filter and the
filter basket (3) from the coffeemaker.
• The carafe (7) is dishwasher-safe. Wash carafe
(7), carafe lid (9) and filter basket (3) in hot,
soapy water. rinse and dry.
• Use baking soda or mild cleaning agent to
remove stains on the carafe (7). If stains are
hard to remove, fill carafe (7) with hot water
and add 2 tablespoons of dishwater detergent.
Wash and rinse after leaving water with deter-
gent in carafe (7) overnight.
• Ensure all parts are completely dry after
washing and before use.
• Do not dry the inside of the water tank (5)
with a cloth as it may leave lint inside the cof-
feemaker.
• After cleaning, reassemble coffeemaker.
